Your article brought tears to my eyes. Mr. Corrie, you don't know how much it means to us (Hmong) that there are people like you who care enough to listen to and share our stories and grief. Whether it be just letting Americans know the truth about the secret war or what the Hmong People, as a consequence of the war, is facing (Genocide) in Southeast Asia today. My heart cries out to the ones that are left behind and suffering. Documentaries don't lie. The Hmong people are not fighters by nature so they are at the mercy of the U.S leaders and United Nations.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11891838600968820817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3893573260014776395.post-41756342175028956342008-05-01T19:03:00.000-07:002008-05-01T19:03:00.000-07:00Damen Corrie, I am one of the blessed Hmongs whose...Damen Corrie, I am one of the blessed Hmongs whose parents were able to escape the jungles of Laos and relocate into Thailand. My mother gave birth to me in the Thai refugee camp and 3 months later in 1986 we came to the United States. My dad is a veteran of the "secret war". He tells of his story in the military until his death in 1999. My mom shows grief every time she reflects on the years of the Vietnam war. I shed tears every time I read a story about the genocide of Hmongs in Laos. I live on the other end of the world and my hands cannot stretch so far to help them. I drive fancy cars and eat out on Friday night while my countrymen are running from death. What can I do? I am a young girl who is trying to pursue my career goals. I want to be part of the plan to help my Hmong people. I want the words to be spread globally so all can know about such torture. Please tell me how I can be such attribute to your assistance toward the Hmong. <BR/>-Maixiong Leeyouluvmeeh86https://www.blogger.com/profile/04240648423478878484noreply@blogger.com
