By means of this message we submit our inquiry to the Association of de Indigenous Cabildos of the Northern Cauca ACIN in Colombia regarding the situation in your indigenous territories, that the conscience of Humanity in its entirety become aware in particular of the violation of the Human Rights of the Indigenous Peoples.
To this purpose, the Nahuacalli - Embassy of the Indigenous Peoples now proposes to organize an International Indigenous Legation of Peace of the Commission of Indigenous Nations and Organizations of the Continent (CONIC) to travel to the Northern Cauca to verify and strengthen the processes of Peace and tranquility that should be realized in terms of social justice in every part of our continent of Abya Yala.
We have received your letter to the Inter-American Commission of Human Rights of the Organization of American States requesting the intervention of that body in protection of the Human Rights and Indigenous Rights of the Indigenous Peoples of the Northern Cauca in Colombia, rights which are inscribed in the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples adopted by the UN General Assembly on September 13th, 2007.
The mission of the International Indigenous Legation of Peace of the Commission of Indigenous Nations and Organizations of the Continent (CONIC) shall be to evaluate and report to the international community regarding the processes and conditions under which the Indigenous Peoples of Colombia live, and further in pursuit of a relationship of Peace and Harmony among our societies and within the natural world.
Please communicate as soon as possible with our office regarding this request, in order to facilitate the arrival in your territories of the International Indigenous Legation of Peace.

Nohuanyolqueh Hermanos y Hermanas:
Por vía de este medio les pedimos hacernos llegar la palabra de su Asociación de Cabildos Indígenas del Norte del Cauca en Colombia para dar conocer a la conciencia de la Humanidad entera sobre la situación que viven en su territorio, en particular los atropellos de los Derechos Humanos de los pueblos indígenas.
Con este fin, proponemos que por vía de nuestra instancia de Nahuacalli, como instrumento de Embajada de Los Pueblos Indígenas se organice una Legación Internacional Indígena de Paz CONIC, nombrado por la Comisión de Organizaciones y Naciones Indígenas del Continente de Abya Yala para que sea recibida en su territorio en una próxima fecha para verificar y fortalecer los procesos de paz y tranquilidad que deber regir la realización de la justicia social en cualquier parte de nuestro continente de Abya Yala.
Hemos recibido la carta ACIN de octubre 14, 2008 a la Comisión Interamericana de Derechos Humanos de la OEA pidiendo intervención de esa instancia en protección de los Derechos Humanos y Derechos Indígenas en el caso de los Cabildos Indígenas del Norte del Cauca en Colombia, tal como son inscritas en la Declaración sobre los Derechos de los Pueblos Indígenas, adoptada por la Asamblea General de la ONU el día 13 de Septiembre de 2007.
Será la misión de la Legación Internacional Indígena de Paz de la Comisión de Organizaciones y Naciones Indígenas del Continente (CONIC) Abya Yala hacer evaluación y reporte a la comunidad internacional sobre de estos procesos que viven los Pueblos Indígenas en Colombia, y en búsqueda de una relación de Paz y armonía al nivel social y ambiental. Por favor de indicar de una manera ágil, la respuesta de esta petición de hacer recibir en su territorio nuestra Legación Internacional Indígena de Paz.
