From Darlene Graham:
I am writing this appeal to anyone who has enjoyed the healing benefits of the hot pools at Poo-Ha-Bah Native Healing Center. During the summer, very high winds severely damaged the pool house roof, and it remains badly damaged, making the large pool unusable. Given the amazing properties of this water, it is very sad to deny people access now.
This week, we finally got our insurance settlement, minus the $1,000 deductible our policy dictates. We have, for the next few weeks, several wonderful professionals willing to donate their time in tearing off the roof and replacing it with new materials that they have found on the Internet at a very reasonable cost.
However, we need to make up that $1,000 deductible amount to move forward. If we miss this window of opportunity, our helpers will have moved and be unavailable to us here. We know this is a bad time of year to ask for help, and that everyone is under financial pressure these days.
However, if there is any way that you can assist us to meet this goal, even in a small way, we would be extremely grateful.
Thank you,
Darlene Graham and everyone at Poo-Ha-Bah
